This course is designed for those who are complete novices in the kitchen. If you would like to learn a few simple basic recipes and skills to cook tasty, healthy meals, then this course is for you.
Week 1 Breakfast - Pancakes/eggs (poached, fried, boiled) omelettes.
Week 2 Lunch - salads, wraps,soups, light snacks
Week 3 Dinner - Basic stew, roasts (time permitting) pan frying
Week 4 Desserts - easy fool proof desserts, scones.
Students attending this course can expect a hands-on back-to-basics cookery course. The course is aimed at helping you to develop practical skills and techniques that you can use to improve how and what you eat, as well as becoming a more confident cook.
The course is broken down into 4 sections so that you gain practical skills and tips on how create quick and tasty meals no matter what time of the day it is. You will learn to boil, poach, fry, braise and bake as well as get practical tips to help you improve your menu planning.
Students will be required to purchase their own ingredients and will be advised on what ingredients they need to buy in advance of the next week's class.
